In the Market for a New Bathroom Scale? Bring Yourself Into the New Age with Ozeri!

I recently had the opportunity to review Ozeri’s WeightMaster Digital Bathroom Scale, thanks to Ozeri and the Pitch List. This scale might look somewhat simple, but it’s actually a very interesting product. My official package opener was elated when he saw it sitting on our front porch and couldn’t wait to weigh himself. Unfortunately, he attempted to stand on the box before I got it open, so I had to explain to him that it didn’t work that way.

When I took it out of the box, I was very impressed. It was sleek, smooth and quite attractive looking. My old bathroom scale was a dinosaur compared to this digital beauty! Ahh…but I digress. Let me cover some of the major pluses I found with this scale – yes, other than it’s eye appeal.

The first thing I noticed was that the scale has MICROBAN® Antimicrobial Product Protection. If you’re not familiar with MICROBAN, this technology helps to provide added protection against microbes. This is awesome because microbes are responsible for foul odors (yes, keep in mind that most people weight themselves while barefoot), stains, and even early deterioration of the product. So, if you’re interested in products that are easier to clean and keep clean, MICROBAN is a feature that you might want to keep an eye out for. With a toddler who thinks he has to touch everything within his reach (and even a few things that are NOT within his reach), I was overjoyed that this product is one that I won’t have to worry about so much. My old scale? I fear cleaning it. Seriously! It has a pitted design that I’m certain holds all types of disgusting bacteria after even one use.

How Does the Ozeri WeightMaster Digital Bathroom Scale with MICROBAN® Work?

This digital scale might not tell you everything under the sun, but it works amazingly well. Simply step on the scale and watch the fascinating royal blue screen come to life, telling you your exact weight in pounds and ounces. I won’t reveal what the scale told me, but I will say that I was very impressed with the ease of use and immediate accuracy. The downside? If you plan to use it in front of others and DO NOT want to reveal your weight, it’s not easy to hide. The numbers might look small on the screen in the picture above, but they are very easy to see. Yes, they contrast unbelievably well against that blue screen and can be read from halfway across the room. I imagine that this is a nice feature for darker areas, as well as those that wear glasses or contacts, but I will be using it in the bathroom with the door shut and locked from now on. Just fair warning, ladies.

Another feature that I liked about this scale is that although it is sleek, it is also slip-resistant. That’s important for anyone that wants to weigh themselves after getting out of the bath or shower. The ABS slip-resistant material on the outside gives it this feature, while the 6mm impact-resistant tempered glass on the inside reinforces the scale’s durability.

This makes it easier for those interested in keeping an eye on these figures to do so. The price points vary with all of the scales depending upon where you choose to purchase them. This scale, in particular, can be found for as little as $37.50 with free shipping on sites like eBay.com, but I’ve seen them as high as $49.99 on at least one other site.

Do I Recommend the Ozeri WeightMaster Digital Bathroom Scale with MICROBAN®?

I’ve honestly never owned an Ozeri product before, so I have to admit that I was very impressed with this one. The sleek design was very impressive and the screen was surprisingly bright. I think what impressed me more was that for something so simple, it really does have a lot of nice features. My favorite? The MICROBAN technology. I think it’s a fabulous inclusion for products like this and I personally like the idea that it is one product that I won’t have to worry so much about my son’s little hands touching! I would recommend this product for any household, as it is easy to use, easy to clean and offers a large, bright screen for those who have vision problems.
