Halloween is by far my favorite holiday of the year. Sure, I like Christmas, Easter and Valentine’s Day (in that order) too, but Halloween is so much more fun. You get to transform yourself into a completely new character and, if you’re really in the spirit, you can take on the persona of that character for the entire day! I guess that’s just the kid in me
I really enjoy dressing up the kids and myself and walking in the cool night air as we trek from house to house and fill up their Halloween bags full of candy. I love watching my son’s face as he waits in anticipation while the person at the door reaches into a bowl that my son can’t see the contents of, as well as the way his eyes light up when he sees that it’s MORE candy.
The other thing I like about Halloween is that you don’t feel pressured to spend a fortune if you really can’t afford it. Why? Well, because there are tons of things around the house that you can use to make a Halloween costume if you really want or need one and can’t afford it. You can also go super cheap for trick-or-treaters and make popcorn balls, cookies, brownies and more. Of course, these are usually only fit to be handed out to kids you know because other kids’ parents will likely just throw them away in fear these days.
What I really like about Halloween is the parties. Halloween parties are so much fun, whether for families, kids or adults. It’s also a great way to bring out the creativity in everyone. Come to think of it, that’s probably one of the biggest reasons that I like Halloween! I get to be creative in a social atmosphere instead of stuck at a computer sharing my ideas and experiences to a world of people that I’ll probably never meet. Not that I mind it, but I’m a social butterfly who needs to be amongst the flowers every once in a while =)
Anyway, today I’m going to cover Halloween costumes that you can purchase. So, if you prefer to buy Halloween costumes, don’t miss the deals we’ve found below. You can find baby costumes, toddler costumes, costumes for kids and costumes for adults of all sizes at the following sites and better yet, we’ve snagged you some great coupons to use for each of them!
SpiritHalloween.com is among my top 5 favorite places for Halloween costumes and accessories. I found the cutest costumes for my son there the past two years (the first year he was Tigger – absolutely adorable (see pic). I was able to snag the costume at a major discount and paid just $14.95 for it, which is a deal in my book, especially considering how well made the costume was. The great thing about Spirit Halloween is that they carry a huge array of Halloween costumes and Halloween accessories, so it’s kind of hard NOT to find something you want here. Totally Costumes is a new place I found this year and you know what drew me to them? I saw that they were running a special for 75% off on adult, child, teen, kids, and toddler Halloween costumes! You all know how much I love to save, so how could I pass that up? I just ordered a costume for my stepdaughter because she had to have it, but I’m just getting the one for now because I want to see what kind of quality I get for the price. It looks good online, so hopefully it will look just as good when we get it. If not, I’ll let you all know.
Costume City is another site I found this year – and Oh, My Goodness! They have the cutest baby costumes! They also have some really cute couples costumes as well. After taking a tour of the site and seeing just how much they have to offer (baby costumes, toddler costumes, kids costumes, adult costumes, plus size costumes and even great mascot costumes!), I absolutely couldn’t leave them out.
