Looking for a way to keep your produce fresh longer? Check out the Bluapple!
As a member of The Pitch List, I recently had the opportunity to review the Bluapple. An apple that’s blue? Well, sort of. The Bluapple is this amazingly small, blue, plastic, vented apple that contains a packet of granules that absorbs the ethylene gas that your produce puts off. This gas speeds up the ripening process and results in your produce going bad quickly. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve found a good price on produce, stocked up and ended up wasting half of it because it went bad before my family could eat it all.
Well, that was before the Bluapple! This awesome little product made me one happy momma! And you know what? You don’t just get one – you get two! Check it out!
Now, like I said, these are amazingly small considering what they do. You’d almost expect something this amazing to be bigger. Personally, I’m happy that they are small. Why? Because that means I can get more produce in my fridge!
What’s surprising is that the technology used in the Bluapple is one that has been used for years in ships, trucks and warehouses to neutralize and absorb the buildup of ethylene gases. This product doesn’t release any gases or chemicals at all. Instead, it absorbs these gases and prolongs the shelf life of your produce.
So does it work? Well, I put mine in the drawer of my refrigerator. At the time that I put it in the drawer, I had one package of grapes, six oranges, four apples and five grapefruit. That was just nine days ago and the produce had been purchased four days prior to me receiving the Bluapple.
Below is a picture of my produce drawer today. We still have about a third of the grapes left, three of the oranges, 2 of the apples, 2 of the grapefruit. In addition, I picked up a 2 packages of strawberries and four kiwi fruit 3 days after getting the Bluapple. We have one container of the strawberries left and 2 kiwi fruit. Amazingly, all of it still looks practically as good as the day I bought it.
What was I most surprised about? The strawberries! I cannot keep strawberries for long before they begin to get overripe and start to mold. The length of time we’ve had the grapes is pretty amazing, too. Thirteen days and they are still very firm. I have to admit that the Bluapple doesn’t just work – it works great! I am so psyched about how much money this is going to save my family!
The bonus? The Bluapple comes with a money back guarantee! So if you aren’t happy with it for any reason, they will personally refund your purchase price.
