Philadelphia Teacher Under Investigation for Bullying Student that Wore Political T-Shirt

When we send our kids off to school, we’d like to think that it’s a safe place. A place where their young minds can be nurtured. A place where those in charge treat them fairly. Unfortunately, one Philadelphia child’s parents are feeling quite the opposite. When Samantha Pawlucy put on her Romney-Ryan shirt and went to school, I doubt that her goal was to be a victim; however, that’s exactly what happened. She reportedly attended several classes that day without incident, but when she walked into her Geometry class, she was immediately under attack from a bully – and it wasn’t a student, but the teacher!

Math Teacher Bullied Her Student Due to Her Own Political Beliefs

I don’t want to get into politics because that’s not my focus here. Yes, even though it is what ultimately fueled this incident. What I want to focus on is the bullying that clearly occurred. This was not only a grown adult that bullied this young lady, but her teacher! This teacher’s actions are unacceptable. Samantha Pawlucy did not break any rules by wearing this shirt, yet she was bullied and her rights were violated due to her teacher’s political beliefs. Whether you are a democrat or a republican should not matter. What should matter is the student’s right to wear a shirt that does not violate the school dress code. Yet, her teacher decided to bully her. When the instructor noticed that she was wearing a Mitt Romney t-shirt, she told the student to get out of the room, teased her and actually compared Pawlucy to the KKK! All this, simply for wearing a Romney campaign t-shirt to school.

The parents of Pawlucy are requesting that the teacher be terminated for her behavior.
