So Many Things to Do in Branson – And a Giveaway!

One of the most exciting vacation destinations in the Midwest is Branson, MO, which is nestled in the heart of scenic Ozark Mountain country. If you’re looking for a wholesome family vacation destination, Branson certainly fits the bill, but one of the other great things about a Branson vacation is that it’s relatively affordable for families on a budget. Just like Pigeon Forge, Branson makes it easy for you to save money on shows and attractions in the area by offering an abundance of coupons and other discounts.

Fun Things to Do in Branson, MO

I’m going to be headed to Branson, MO in the next few months to visit the Castle Rock Resort and Waterpark, so I’ve been checking out all of the fun things to do while I’m down there with the family. Here are a few of the attractions that made it to the top of my list. I’ll be adding others from time to time, so be sure to check back and see what’s new!

Hollywood Wax Museum Branson

Hollywood Entertainment Center, Branson, MO

How could you possibly pass up visiting a giant building with a gargantuan Gorilla hanging from it? That’s just one of the many things that you’ll see at the Hollywood Entertainment Center, which is comprised of FOUR attractions that are just perfect for family fun! Tickets can be purchased individually, or you can opt to “Choose Your Fun and Save a Ton” with their Pick Your Fun Deals. The four attractions featured in the Branson location are as follows:

Hollywood Wax Museum

If you’ve ever dreamed of seeing a star or being a star, a visit to the world-famous Hollywood Wax Museum in Branson is a must! The wax replicas of classic and current stars appear so lifelike, some guests have described them as “amazingly real” or said, “I was waiting for them to move.” In addition to appreciating the artistry, you can get “up close and personal” with the stars for fun photos (you choose the poses!). Plus, learn little-known facts about their pets, pet peeves, and accomplishments, like did you know Denzel Washington credits his success to the Boys & Girls Club, or that Jessica Alba’s dogs are named Sid and Nancy (for rocker Sid Vicious and his former girlfriend)?

Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors

There once was a Kingdom called Savannah with a reigning Princess called Hannah. She was locked in a maze, her parents in a haze, and now they need you to save her. Make your way through 288 potential turns among hundreds of mirrored walls and archways to free Princess Hannah from Ugly Hetty’s spell. It’s all about gallantry and fun, so come in, get lost in this modern fairy tale, and find out if you’re The Chosen One.

Castle of Chaos

For a completely new kind of entertainment and some scary fun, Join the Battle Against Evil at the world’s first 5D adventure. You’ll see, hear, feel and smell the chaos as you attempt to discover the paranormal activity lurking inside. Be prepared to put on your 3D glasses, pick up your gun, and shoot for the highest score!  Must be at least 4 years old or 42” tall to ride.

Shoot for the Stars Mini-Golf

Take the 18 steps to becoming a Hollywood star while enjoying family fun on the green (and even the red, as in red carpet, at Holes 16 & 17). You’ll putt through palm trees, parties and paparazzi, guided by your wise-cracking agent Marty McBooster and find out if you’re Overexposed, Trendy, Famous or Legendary at the final Star-O-Meter (Hole 19). With Hollywood landmarks at your back and a cast of characters who help you on your journey, this challenging course is, according to a recent review, “definitely the best mini golf course in Branson, and one of our favorites ever.”

Branson Tracks

Branson Tracks

When we were in Pigeon Forge, TN, we really wanted to visit The Track, but didn’t have time, so the fam and I definitely don’t want to miss Branson Tracks. It’s Family Fun 4 Stories High! Experience high-rise go-kart tracks, including the newest Heavy Metal High Rise and the 2 wooden tracks, Wild Woody and The LumberJack. Also, enjoy classic go-karts for all ages, laser tag, bumper rides, thrill rides, mini golf, arcades and NEW in 2013 Batting Cages at Track 5, all with no gate admission charge!

Ripley's Believe It or Not! Odditorium

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium, Branson, MO

Considered the most unusual building in Branson, Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium is everything it’s “CRACKED-UP” to be! Jammed to the walls with “unbelievable” displays and jaw-dropping oddities, it’s sensational FUN for the entire family! Take the self-guided tour at your own pace and enjoy this unusual, eclectic collection from the amazing world of Robert Ripley.

Titanic Museum Branson

Titanic Museum Attraction, Branson, MO

I’ve had a fascination with the Titanic since I was very, very young. Since that time, I’ve read countless articles and books, and watched several documentaries (and of course, the movie) regarding the event. In my eyes, it’s the single most tragic accident that has ever occurred on the water. Over 2300 passengers were aboard the ship, but because of the lack of safety gear, less than half survived. Those stories, the bravery, the fear and the heartache that so many felt for years following that fateful voyage is something that has piqued my curiosity for nearly 3 decades, which is why the Titanic Museum Attraction in Branson is a definite must-see for me. New in 2013 is the gallery: Discover the 133 Children Stories of Titanic – The First and Only World Tribute to Titanic’s Littlest Heroes.

An excerpt regarding the new gallery:

The RMS Titanic sailed with 2,208 people on board – 133 of them were children.

These were Titanic’s littlest heroes. What they saw, heard and felt from the moment they boarded the ship has been documented and visualized for the first time anywhere by the Titanic Museum Attractions in Branson, Missouri.

This year-long, exclusive exhibit is a celebration of

The 133 Children of Titanic

whose bravery, innocence and faith can be an inspiration to us all.
